AAGP Foundation History

The American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP) saw the value of creating an affiliate agency with 501(C)(3) tax-exempt status to provide support to AAGP educational programs and projects, provide another avenue for donations for those who require the ability to deduct charitable contributions, and to provide a means of submitting grant requests.
The AAGP Foundation's milestones include:
2005
- Call for AAGP volunteers to begin work on the Foundation
- Articles of incorporation developed, adopted, and filed.
- Initial Board of Directors named: Phyl Renninger (Chairman), Deanna Nurnberg (Vice-Chair), Bernard Turner (Treasurer), and Pauline Annarino (Secretary)
2006
- Bylaws written and accepted by Foundation member vote and AAGP Board of Directors vote
- AAGP Board Liaison appointed to the Foundation:
